I'm suggesting trying to see flaws in the car before buying it this time. You were able to find flaw with the trim without owning it...
You do have a point. Maybe he'd be able to pick apart the EV6 from afar like he did the Teslas.

According to the market, Tesla plays in the luxury market. That's prestigious. What any of us consider Tesla doesn't matter beyond our pocketbook.Fair. I am frustrated about delivery delays, for sure. That said, how is Tesla "prestigious"? I have never thought it was anything but "first to market" with a viable EV. They constantly produce trash products and their loyal following make excuse after excuse as to why Home Depot wood trim is an integral part of their vehicle, lol! Calling Tesla "prestigious"...for what?
Now, I do get the snob appeal of paying $65K for a $45K vehicle, yes, what a flex, I get it. Like the first guy in your town to own a Civic Type R for $90K or something. But otherwise? How on earth is it "prestigious"?
I won`t pay 60k for a new car.
No it’s not. Luxury means that, luxury, not how much product is sold for.According to the market, Tesla plays in the luxury market. That's prestigious. What any of us consider Tesla doesn't matter beyond our pocketbook.
Would I buy a Kia? No. But you would and it's your money. I salute you for following your own path. All good.
I don't think that's what anyone was saying. The Kia is more expensive than the comparable Tesla. It's how the brand is perceived by average people. If you asked an average person regardless of cost what would be considered a more luxurious product, a Kia or Tesla, what would they say? It's a dumb question because both have a wide range of costs, but it's how the non car enthusiast market would think of the two.No it’s not. People are buying Corolla GR $20k over MSRP, yet, it is FAR from luxury vehicle. Same goes for Sequoia.

They might charge like luxury vehicle, but price was never determining factor of luxury. It is what is inside.
People perceive bcs. Tesla is always parked next to two other, ICE vehicles, usually gas guzzlers. That is why EV won’t become mainstream for a long time, bcs. average family wants practicality, flexibility etc.
Tesla is vanity.
With how many kids? Do you guys take road trips each year, 2-3,000 miles or fly?Good job projecting man. Totally affects the way I live parking my Tesla by my gas guzzling GTI.![]()
Breaux - You need to shop a New Orleans dealer(ship)No it’s not. Luxury means that, luxury, not how much product is sold for.

If that doesn't show money doesn't buy taste in one picture I don't know what does.
Is that alligator or they are catching those pythons like crazy?
Wow! Decorated by Stevie Wonder with access to the clearance bin at Fabricland!
What will your laptop be worth in 20 years. That gives you an idea of what a Tesla will be worth in 20 years. Planned obsolescence. It's built into these designs. I'm tellin' ya'll. The market for these EVs is going to be extremely fickle and have knat-like attention spans. Unlike the high interest in even anemic performing ICE from the 1970s that are highly valued due to style and soul and very easy to maintain, for which people still express extreme loyalty for those cars, these EVs will be literally thrown out and cast aside the instant their computers are slow, won't snych, aren't "cool," etc.I think the description fits the Tesla Model 3 quite well too. Except for the value 50 years later. We'll have to wait a while for that.
I don't really see anything to nitpick on it except for range. You do have a point. Maybe he'd be able to pick apart the EV6 from afar like he did the Teslas.
That LS400 won't even make it out of my driveway. The EV6 GT will. Further, the LS400 will suck fuel like no tomorrow. I went to Autotrader and found a $12k LS400. It was a 1999 with 65K miles. It had a 4.0L V8, and the EPA rates it at 19mpg combined. It requires 91 octane/Premium. The current price of Premium 91 octane where I live is $3.44/gal at Wal-Mart. I drive 2500mi/month. So even IF the LS400 would physically locomote from my house (it won't, as it's RWD), it would cost me $452/mo for the "privilege" of driving it. Stack oil changes and preventative maintenance on top of a 20 year old luxury car, and you're easily looking at an amortized $600/mo operating cost. The EV6 GT? It will cost about $85/mo in electricity, and 8K mi services are about $100 on it. In no way is a used LS400 an appealing choice to me. I cannot stop laughing.$60k for a Kia; an EV no less. The junkiest least practical thing on the market.
Based on a totally irrelevant real-world "test," little more than a glossy marketing brochure?!
Not just no, but a laughing walking away hard no. $60 THOUSAND DOLLARS!? To drive a Kia that's quick off the line? I truly cannot stop laughing.![]()

Name a single computer related product that has increased in value over time. There are none. All computer related products go to zero very fast. Now add a battery pack that costs as much as the car. First battery replacement at year 15, car value is zero.
I can agree with that. I just don't think of Tesla as luxury vehicle. They have power, and price, and electronic wizardry, and that's all they have for luxury components.According to the market, Tesla plays in the luxury market. That's prestigious.
