So I've want to buy a $60K electric Kia...

Bcs. every thread you opened about car you want to buy or bought it you compare to MB AMg, S4 etc.
They are not that.
I would not be that confident about a company whose engines are staple for blowing up, just because.
Im comparing the powertrain and performance. It crushes everything out there until you get to Taycan GTS, Lucid, Plaid, type stuff, and even then it is better managed as it doesn't overheat. The tech in the car that actually makes it go, is just flat out better. The brakes. The battery management. The motors.

The interior, dealer experience, sound system? Nah. Its solidly a Kia.

I keep telling ya, there's only 2 things that matter:
  1. Your use case. Do a personal inventory. Try and be honest here...
  2. What you want. Every purchase is an emotional purchase.

Performance is relative. You said track?
Take it to track and get obliterated by Miata. You constantly talk track. I don’t expect anything less but for you to take it to track. You might be only person with KIA there, and that is for a reason.
0-60? My dead grandmother can get out of grave and do that.

It is. That is why I don’t understand this thread and constantly looking for some confirmation bias.

It hangs with 911s on the track, based on laptimes.

Now, that said, no, I won't be tracking it. However, if the battery can handle track use around the 'Ring, that tells me that I won't have issues in the mountains in 100f weather. That IS pertinent. It also speaks to amazing thermal management that will ensure long cell life.

What cop do you know who does crossfit at work? Okay. But would you say a cop who can post Games worthy amrap times...might be more effective in pursuing a suspect? Things have carryover...not always, but often.

No it cannot hang out with 911. When you say that, it is immediately apparent that you have never been on the track.
But, you do like to talk about it.

Just going based off actual head to head lap comparisons between the two cars on the same day at the same track...but you think what you want.

In 2015 I almost bought a Challenger with a Hellcat engine in it but I do not need a vehicle that I pay list or over list price, 2 years ago a guy in the next housing developement gave me a ride in his HellCat challenger and I really liked everything about it. I told the wife about it and she said write the check myou really want one. After a while the newness wears off and I can only fool myself for so long , I didn't buy the car.

Thing is, I need a car, and I drive a lot. I want something that I want.

I get it. Still the electric car in almost all cases after 20k miles is less polluting than a gas car.
Not when you figure in what it takes to obtain the necessary materials it takes to make batteries and to dispose of them…

Yes. Yes it does take in what it takes to make them. Dispose is a weird spelling of recycled. How does anyone assume something worth so much money would be disposed? They’re going to be in many cases as they lose range be used in power walls for Solar setups where maximum capacity doesn‘t matter as much.

How long do YOU think the batteries last on average? Not “well I heard a story that one guy had to buy a battery at such and such mileage.” because those stories are outliers and few and far between.

No, it is not.
I can guarantee you that after two laps; you will be in the pit. 911 won't, or my BMW.
Seeing as it was just fine lapping the northern loop of the nurburgring 3x in a row without issue, I'm curious why you think that is...
