So I've want to buy a $60K electric Kia...

Also, weight is No.1 enemy of performance. Adding more weight to get better balance is really not the solution.
It is on a street car, that's what happens when you can't throw big dollars at it like some people can. I could car less if my 0-60 times go down .2. That is a very very fleeting high as how many times do you drag race on the street. The Kona N guys are all about 0-60 times. At least I have a rear diff to add some weight were the Kona N guys have a fly weight rear end. I care more about "balance" on every fast corner I take. I get a "high" on 50% of the corners I take on the street. What I lost on the added 100lbs to the rear I gained back on my light rims and tires. It is a wash and I am enjoy my cars "performance" multi times on every trip I take. .1 quicker.....who cares, not me.

When I said performance, I did not mean 0-60. WHo cares on track about 0-60.
100lbs is A LOT on a such car.

0-60.......... think about it a bit longer. So I should build an aluminum front subframe and what aluminum control arms? Do you want to buy them for me? I do what I can with the money that can be put into car with my income. It is a poor mans SLOW Golf R. In fact my car handled better then a co workers lowering springed only Golf R, so I am doing fine.

Who said anything about throwing money? I am just saying it is a lot of weight to fix inherent issue. We started talk about KIA on track. That is result.

Get used E82 128 with stick.

Yes, I know what your point was. I was referring to that jab about how SRT has ZF. ZF transmission is found in numerous commercial vehicles, too, from small delivery trucks to tug vehicles at airports.
I said before; this is the justification of spending that money. It is common when people pay hefty sum for appliance manufacturers and then trying to justify how it is "only" 3sec slower than Porsche (bcs. on track 3sec is apparently nothing) or how they hired BMW engineers; therefore it makes it the same as BMW :ROFLMAO:

It is KIA, and that is about it. Nothing more or less, and it is a decent vehicle.
A second slower on a 2 minute track...in an suv....vs a 911....

Yeah, i would never buy that very impressive EV6 GT because...the infotainment screen looks like a BMW's.
Especially when the EV6 GT looks nothing like any BMW. And this isn't a shot at BMW. I even like what some call the "bucktooth" new grille.

"plagiarism" scratching my head at some of this stuff.

There is nothing new under the sun. Except maybe a Tesla. The rest is all plagerism one way or another.
We all buy what we want, right?

All the posts in here are enthusiasts after all this is a forum of them.
At times we have to remind ourselves that the general public doesn’t walk into car dealerships (currently ICE) discussing 0 to 60 times and are clueless except for 5% of the population who buy a sports car if even then.

To each their own, but my $.02...buy a $15K 35 mpg used car and keep $45K in your pocket.

I want to see where the battery tech goes. My bet is in less than 5 years current EV's will be cheaper as they try to sell off the current lithium ion variants.

Cool Kia though.
Maybe on your prediction. I don't know. I do know that I've done the $20k vehicle thing. It costs about $400/mo+$300mo (at current gas prices using 87 octane, as of this post date), plus $180/mo insurance (Its not all auto, but I refuse to parse over all of the plan here), and in comparison that gets a boring but reliable car with tech 2 generations old. Or...I can buy this. It costs $1000/mo+$75 in electricity and insurance is probably $250(again, whole policy). That's $1325 / mo vs $880/mo. Or, a $445/mo difference. I pay that for health insurance I've never used, and that has $7k deductibles, lol! So...its easy to justify.

Some quick research, looks like the replacement cost of the EV6 battery is $29K.

That's just the battery.

Will it come down in price..most likely. Not sure what the warranty is, or how the depreciation works, but....despite being a cool car, lots of uncertainty.

I'm not much of a VW fan, they do drive incredibly well, but a used GTI is a 30+ MPG car and is a hoot to drive.

Again, just throwing out opinions.

The VW iD4 is absolutely horrible compared to the Kia in every way from quality to driving dynamics to charge speed. Also, the battery costs more or less the same.

Literally nothing compares to the Kia product right now as a well-rounded package. The Taycan GTS is a hair faster, and driving dynamics are better...but they have battery problems. The Audi has a nicer interior, but is a dog comparatively for performance. I'd say for a car, the BMW i4 M50 comes closest, but again, it's a car, with very low ground clearance, and the EV6 GT at least gives me 6.1" clearance to work with.

Kindof like Lexus?

Really though, mind sharing who makes a better electric suv with a performance angle to it?

Toyota is better than Kia.

I can’t comment on electric vehicle quality. It’s like asking me who makes the best high heels. No idea. I’m not in the market for any.

I dont get the "plagiarism" comments, not necessarily from you because I am not sure of what you mean
Is having four round wheels and tires plagiarism too?
Windshields made out of glass? Adjustable seats? Entertainment systems? Headlights? Windshields wipers? A/C? Heat?
Even Tesla, is there something so unique about the looks of the car? I dont think so.

I mean, who cares, we buy what we like the most. Meaning the manufacturers interpretation of what the public wants.
