Mobil 1 0w40 regains LL-01?

Maybe I am out of the loop on this. When did Mobil 1 0W-40 FS get LL-01 approval again, was it associated with a formulation change?

Ok, this spec I did not know about was a BMW spec!

The current Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0w40 is still arguably one of the best oils you can buy all things considered. Latest PDS shows it is PAO/GTL based with some group V.

This oil has the solvency to clean as well.

Yes my friend, it has regained the certification after a long hiatus. Rejoice! I think it’s one of the few 0w40 oils to have it. Could be wrong. There’s other threads on it that dice deeper.

Lol! Looks like I will keep using this in the Bimmer, to keep engine clean. I don’t want mine looking like this…
