Castrol 0w-40 LL-01 ?

I was referring to the new 0W-40 formulation, probably will be our API SP when it comes here. The 0W-30 is excellent, but a bit pricey.
My point is that 0W30 kept same formulation with high dosage of PAO, probably around 50%. Same formulation that has with LL01, lost it, gained back!
I highly doubt new formulation in 0W40 is contributing factor to gain back LL01.

Yeah, that makes it even more puzzling what has to be reformulated with the 0W-40s to win back LL-01. Thought the PAO might have contributed to the oxidation, but seems the 0W-30 has at least, if not more of it then the 40s. Obviously not the PAO content then.

Nah. They reformulated for other reasons too. Probably figured how to gain similar performance cheaper.

Just a quick update. The Castrol 0w40 was at my Walmart yesterday. “ Made in Belgium. Repackaged in USA. “ Enjoy.

Has the new SP version been spotted yet? Walmart still carrying SN. The new version will be a tough sell without A40 since M1 FS has all the major approvals again.

Now listed as Castrol 0W-40 PA on the US website though it still shows SN/A40 in an older data sheet. The SP version is no where to be seen in the US site now.
