It's quite sad how desperate some people are for attention.
Are you people for real?? IS this the way you treat people who are seeking information about oil on an oil forum?? You cannot be serious?? Jesus H. Christ! You sure know how to make a forum unwelcoming to any new posters, and to guarantee that anyone who was considering posting here never will. Why are you being such jerks?? I admitted I knew little about oil, I asked for advice, and I got it. Why are you doing this to me?? Can't anyone see what is happening here?? Do the moderators approve of this treatment?

I think it's just the idea that you change your oil so frequently is just so mind boggling to everyone that it's in their minds either not true or outrageous.
I think you should be changing it at a much higher interval, but to each their own...

And I clearly said that yes, I read what you told me to and yes, I was WRONG, and I plan to CHANGE my intervals to 5,000 miles! Yet these jerks keep this [censored] up! What is wrong with these people? Are they truly insane? All of this hatred and anger and mistreatment of fellow human beings because of someone's oil change interval??? Maybe they should find a real problemin life to worry about, besides someone ELSE'S oil?? My God, I cannot even fathom getting worked up about someone else's oil LOL!! I have REAL problems in my life!

FWIW: I run my oil 6,000 Miles right now, but I'm about to double that because my UOA's are coming back very good.

I think you're misunderstanding. Aside from all the troll stuff nobody's really "busting your chops". It's all in good fun. We're not serious all the time here.
