Well, when you come here high and mighty proclaiming you change your air filter and oil every 1,000 miles, with an almost snobby attitude, what do you expect?

By now he must think who ever referred him here was way off base, and he has stumbled into an insane asylum. The in-jokes don't make him feel welcome either.
With the exception of a (basically) innocent newbie miscue, he has shown great forum behavior, including apologizing - far better than what is happening around him. I hope you give him a break and he sticks around.

The only real way to be confident you engine oil and filter is clean is to run a submicronic bypass filter. Then your oil really will be clean .Then you can be truly confident your oil and filter is perfectly clean with your oil change intervals.
