But I run my chevron 5w-30 in my escort for 300 miles between oci and change my tires every 2,000, I don't want the tread to wear more than 1/16 of an inch, otherwise I'll lose traction and slide of the road. Oh yeah I drain my gas if it sits in the tank for more than a week.
The point is the oil has been carefully formulated and chemically balanced for a duty cycle range, your oil is still good, there is no depletion of it at this point and well beyond this point. I encourage you to do a used oil analysis at 1,000 miles then leave it in for another 2,000 you'll be surprised
This website's knowledge seems amazing, but if this is the way that new people who do not know much about oil are treated, then is it really that amazing? Can't people just be nice to new posters?
