OK, I see that the 3000 mile OCI is gone the way of the dino(saur). But why, with all the advances in lube technology is one year (regardless of miles) the recommended limit?
Is there some magic breakdown of oil in one year? Miles are no longer the limiting factor...can we start working on an oil that goes 3 years or 30,000 miles as opposed to one that goes 1 year 35,000 miles.
Maybe 1 year, 35,000 or 2 years 18,000 (same oil)
