schaffers oil

It is an excellent product and very good for a daily driver. Look under the UOA section to see some extended drain test on Schaeffer's. There are plenty of them.

Here are two of my posts using Schaeffer Supreme 7000 5W-30 (blend of Grp II+ and Grp IV base oil). My drains have ranged from 7000 to 8300 mi and I shoot for 7500 avg. Many people have been able to run it 10k plus in different applications. Priced very reasonably given it's performance. There are several VOA's posted for various Schaeffer products in the VOA section. I would caution against making any judgments about performance based on VOA. The starting TBN for example may appear unimpressive but retention is "where it's at" and it is excellent.

Are you guys buying $350 minimum/order? Seems like a lot of oil to buy for the average guy. Looks like they have some nice products too. I was told there was a $350 minimum in order to place an order.

I think that is only for a drop shipment to your door.
Contact Salesrep our Schaeffers sponsor.
He has helped members purchase according to their needs.

The $350 minimum is what is necessary to get free shipping. You can order any amount if you don't mind shipping. Here in the Houston area some of us have gotten together once a year to agglomerate the needed order size.

You must be contacting the company. Try our site Schaeffers rep, member Salesrep. I have purchased Nutra 131 from him and my orders were usually around $100.

Yes, if Schaeffers were on the shelf locally, I would certainly pick up a bottle, fondle it

, and maybe buy some.

I may have to modify my statement in light of Paul's comment on ordering from the company. I had never considered that someone might be doing that, and that might indeed be the cause of the high order.

But even when buying from a dealer, there is a $300-350ish minimum to get free shipping.

Sorry to humor, but if the Schaeffer oil product is anything like the old Schaeffer beer (regular or light, u pick), it is rotgut. Old joke in Kentucky was either Schaeffer or Beast was under $4.00 for 12. Reminiscent of Schlitz or Olympia. [censored]. (btw, didn't James Coburn do a commercial for Schlitz, back in the day?).

I really need to order some of this oil. It's been on my "to check out" list every since I first heard of it.

The tranny fluid too.

Perhaps I can clear up some confusion. A minimum free shippable order is $350. For smaller orders your first, best bet is to click on the retail locator at http://www.schaefferoil.com
Smaller case orders can be accommodated, but for obvious reasons will be more expensive.
As always anyone can pm or email thru my website below.

I would like to take this space and time to thank all the members of BITOG for their posts, uoa’s, and enjoyable business relationships that we have developed over time. One of the HUGE benefits of my Specialized Lubricant business is the long distance relationships I would not otherwise have be it not for this boards members.

Sincerely,

Mark A. Smith

I could not agree more, about the beer that is. Indiana's "finest" made its way over to Illinois as well. Though, I felt Olympia was a mite better than Schlitz or Schaeffers.

DIFFERENT Company altogether. FYI Nicholas Schaeffer did have a business relationship with Ebenezer Anehauser in the mid to late 1800's.

Cool! I lived in Kentucky during my earlier years, and we could get Schaeffer down there.

Schaeffer was the one beer to have when you're having more than one........... I guess my age is showing.
