As far as I can tell all API rated oils have to be listed on their site. I'm looking for this oil specifically https://slingshot.polaris.com/en-us/shop/maintenance/lubricants/ps4-full-synthetic-oil/

I posted this in the car oil section because this is not the regular PS4 oil Polaris offers for off-road vehicles. The slingshot has a basic car engine with a catalytic converter and separate transmission. It's basically a car.

It says API SN right on the jug but I cannot find it in the license listing on the API website. Could someone please direct me to se the actual license? Thank you for any help I get.

Notice that it doesn't have the ILSAC starburst or API donut. It has not officially passed their tests and been recognized by them to display it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't meet API SN. They likely tested it themselves to the API SN spec requirements. Some PCMOs are like this also. Their spec sheets will say "meets API SP engine test requirements" or something to the like, but no starburst or donut is present on the bottle. Even some really good oils, typically euro and boutique oils, do this for various reasons. Sometimes the target buying audience doesn't care about that spec. I.E., a euro oil may meet an API spec, but it's not worth the cost to certify it with the API because the target audience most likely just cares about the euro approvals. Sometimes the additive levels also fall slightly above the allowable limit for that API spec. So while it may not qualify for the starburst or donut anyway, it can still be independently tested and pass said requirements. If the company or blender is trustworthy, it's not an issue.

I'm not 100% clear on how API certifies what they consider depreciated approvals, I believe they do not but perhaps you can contact them and ask. Others have noticed SN appear and disappear and reappear with HDEOs for example many times. I have a small water pump that asks for CD - HDEO, and more as a joke to myself I might try to find some but I doubt it is produced today.

I would interpret that Polaris is showing the oil has the qualities to meet API SN. But they are not making any claim that the oil is licensed to API SN. That is why you don't see an API donut on the jug, and why you won't find it listed on the API licensing listing.
