6,000 miles a year is a lot?
My 2000 4Runner is quickly closing in on 280k.

No I meant getting that many miles on that vintage of engine. Engines back then did not see 200k on the clock normally without having some engine work done. Vehicles today get to 200,000 miles no problem. Just wasn't so common on a 1983 engine. That's what I meant. Good deal 👍

An '83 would be Toilet Bowl Injection (TBI).

Actually 83 would be a Rochester carb. Around 86 is when TBI came out for most of it's vehicles
