Post your latest oil change

sopususer, how is your subaru legacy treating you? i’m pretty much a sedan guy and the legacy is one that i enjoyed test driving…
So far, great. We are Subaru people though. My wife will not drive anything else, and she likes sedans, too. It hasn't darkened the door of the dealer for any type of issue since it rolled away on its first drive home. Only 15K but couldn't ask for any better so far.

OUT: Mixture of 3 types M1 EP to use up odds n ends and TRD filter
miles on oil almost 6,000

IN:
5 quarts M1 EP HM 5W-30 to use up M1 stash before switching to HPL + TRD filter
After posting, I checked the odometer and found that there were 6,546 miles on the oil. Used about 8-oz of oil during that OCI.

That level is fairly common and in itself not a cause for alarm.
really? i did a quick internet search and found that some earlier iterations of the 1.4 burned oil. my 2013 vw passat’s 2.5, nonturbo, five cylinder doesn’t burn oil at 110k miles. burning 1/2 quart by 5k miles in a new car would alarm me. perhaps worth a separate thread? anyway, wish you great success with your jetta!
