True. I see they updated it as pour point increased.I don’t think anyone has ever bought that oil. I wonder why they even sell it.

Yeah, i am trying to find but saw increased pour point so it is updated. But again, XOM lists less info now then ever before.Yeah, I would too, it's a VERY new product, it's not even on the Mobil product guide (which would definitively show us the phosphorous level).
Probably because they realized that SDS/PDS warriors were buying other products due to mostly irrelevant data when compared to their competitors, and so they stick to the simple “it meets the spec, use it”. Just a guess, not saying it’s right or wrong methods. But seems to be logical. Why advertise you’re worse than the competition when your oil has the required certs and performs as expected?Yeah, i am trying to find but saw increased pour point so it is updated. That’s possible. I think now though people just buy oils based on Project Farm tests lol.Probably because they realized that SDS/PDS warriors were buying other products due to mostly irrelevant data when compared to their competitors, and so they stick to the simple “it meets the spec, use it”. The point of approval is that, but then, Motul lists a lot and explains approvals in simple terms. So, same theory would be: they are hiding something, there is competition.Probably because they realized that SDS/PDS warriors were buying other products due to mostly irrelevant data when compared to their competitors, and so they stick to the simple “it meets the spec, use it”. Nevermind i didnt read far enuff lolThey can't if they want it to stay A3/B4 compliant (full-SAPS), because if they made it SP, phosphorous would have to take a major haircut.
Yeah, we discussed that in subsequent postsThey could do what mobil does with FS 5w30. The labels says it passes SP engine test requirements but labeled api SL
I posted that and thought oh man im gonna blow some minds here then read 3 more posts... DOH lolYeah, we discussed that in subsequent posts![]()
Aint that the truth!! Ive seen multiple amsoil users on the facebook ram pages switch to PUP because of project farmThat’s possible. I think now though people just buy oils based on Project Farm tests lol.
If I had more free time and money I would set up a BMW S85 V10 testbed and do oil comparisons through a test cycle in the engine with fresh rod bearings each time and compare after test.
Its the 0w40 SP Additive package but in a 5w30 viscosity. I checked the revision number on the back of the FS 5w30 and its the same as the 0/5w40. 6748Yeah, I would too, it's a VERY new product, it's not even on the Mobil product guide (which would definitively show us the phosphorous level).
You remain open to new information prior to making a choice, and are also thrifty. (It's all in how you say it...)Went into WM today with the intention to pick up some M1 0w40. Euro Castrol 5w40 was on sale for $3 cheaper a jug. I left with my usual Castrol. I can't decide if I'm indecisive, cheap, or both.![]()
Was it really a sale, or just the normal $22.97 for Castrol Euro 5w-40?Went into WM today with the intention to pick up some M1 0w40. Euro Castrol 5w40 was on sale for $3 cheaper a jug. I left with my usual Castrol. I can't decide if I'm indecisive, cheap, or both.![]()
I think that's probably the case. They also removed VI and HT/HS on some products around the time Gokhan posted his BOQI.Probably because they realized that SDS/PDS warriors were buying other products due to mostly irrelevant data when compared to their competitors, and so they stick to the simple “it meets the spec, use it”. Walmart $3 off which made it like $7 cheaper than the Mobil 1.Was it really a sale, or just the normal $22.97 for Castrol Euro 5w-40?
He remains open to a lower price. You remain open to new information prior to making a choice, and are also thrifty. (It's all in how you say it...)
I guess it depends on the engine. I like 40 weights in GM LSs and basically anything turbo.Figured id ask the question m1 0w40 vs pp euro l 5w30 in a na motor?
So around $20?!! Deal!Walmart $3 off which made it like $7 cheaper than the Mobil 1.
