The South Island is great...but bloody cold! Lots of places here I'd love to live,and have lived in some of them.But finding work is the hard part.I no longer want to work in a small community where the job you have is the only job you can have - where the boss just tells you to leave if you don't like it.I want to be able to walk out and into another job.I now work in a small town,but with cities within commuting distance,and other towns close too.
Interesting perspective. I feel American people are getting a little out of control with material possessions. I know I would like to have more than I do. But I also know it would not make me happier.
Don't know if I would move to NZ, but would love to visit.........
