Which USA based oil company to go with?

That "good company" tried to blame UPS for the 300% delay in shipping time.... turns out the Distribution center directly stated they are the ones that are behind, not UPS. A "good company" doesn't scape-goat like that. Which is simply the truth of the matter.
I have ordered from Amsoil several times in the past, and was always impressed that the stuff came quick.

Also, I do not know how the stuff arrives without being messed up.....box is pristine. Never had an issue.

Did you happen to order the stuff during a holiday? I did that once and it did take longer.

OK, so you received an answer to why there was a shipping delay.

Stuff happens.

So, did you come here to discuss the technical aspects of engine oils or to trash one specific company?

Yes I did, but the dealer cannot help since this is an Amsoil Corporate problem. The Amsoil distribution center directly confirmed to me that they are "days behind" on getting orders out the door. This goes against Amsoil's statement that orders get shipped within one full business day, not even close.

But thank you for censoring my post, good thing you can't follow me around to events and censor what I will say about Amsoil (which is simply the truth of the matter).
So the truth of the matter that’s available to me is “ESTIMATED delivery by Monday, January 13.” Where did you find any guarantee that they would absolutely, Katy-bar-the-door ship within 24 hours? I’m curious to see if there are different promises on different parts of the site?

You made the claim so you own the burden of proof. I showed you mine, now you show us yours.

I get free shipping 💋

Personally, especially if you're doing 5k OCI's, paying for a "Boutique" oil is a total waste of money. A good, well rated easily available premium oil from Mobil1, Pennsoil or Castrol will serve you well. I've been a Mobil1 fan for 35+ years without a single oil-related problem. I think, based on testing available to me and experience of people here on this forum, I trust that Mobil1 EP would be a good choice. Working well for me.
I've been using M1 oils for 47 years now with outstanding results. Several of my engines have in excess of 220K with none ever showing any sigh of engine wear, sludge or varnish., and all with 10K OCIs.

Yes, let's reward a company that by selling the worst possible crap to come out of the distillation tower to clueless truckers as "Oil Stabilizer" was able to put their name on a stadium, with more business. :sneaky:
I know, ain’t it great I’m gonna go buy some tomorrow, useless oil now there’s a comment you should get a tattoo of that

You do you. If giving your money to a guy who made his fortune scamming people makes you happy, that's fine. You are free to spend your money as you see fit, just as I'm free to comment on it.

Previously, I owned a 1994 Ford E150 Luxury Conversion van with the 300 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder engine.
I had asked my mechanic at that time to do an oil change.

Without asking me, he put in regular oil + Lucus oil stabilizer, and then after the oil change was done, he said:
"I took the liberty of adding this Lucus oil stabilizer as it will make the engine run better".

Right after driving away from his shop, the idiot oil pressure needle on the dasboard that always stayed in the same position forever started to go to the lower range (first time in history it did that). When I got home I checked the oil level. It was full.
Then I googled Lucus oil stabilizer.

It was some thick as molassis oil that may have obstructed the oil flow. I was upset, but didn't want to argue with him, so I took it to a quick lube place to just have them change the oil and filter again (with only about 10 miles on the oil from the 1st oil change). It's pretty scary putting some extremely thick as molasis oil additive into the engine.

I don't recommend ever using that product for any reason. It was pretty scary seeing the oil pressure needle on the dashboard drop.

not a supertech fan?
Super Tech oil is a highly respected oil. Many BITOG members have been using it for decades.

But to use Super Tech oil from the 5 quart jugs safely, I bought 2 re-usable accessories from Amazon:

[1] An exacto knife.
[2] A metal stainless steel cooking funnel with a strainer with little round holes.

The purpose of the accessories are to cut the 2 ply (clingy plastic + paper) spout protection off without it falling into the oil,
and then use the metal funnel with strainer to pour the oil into the engine, just as an extra safeguard that none of the clingy plastic
on the spout protection somehow dropped into the oil.

He's just continuing his silly nonsense from here where objective comments were made but he chose to ignore them:

i agree on packaging. they put some weird plastic over the hole that does not tear. annoying.

i too pay attention to the little pieces at the rim. This was one of my complaints with amsoil squeeze bags, the foil was very difficult to remove and made the squeeze idea leak......valvoline bag copy is not hard to remove.

Since no one has mentioned them:
Lubrication Engineers

Like Schaeffer Oil, they aim primarily at heavy-duty commercial, industrial, agricultural, etc. Good products, though, IME, and they have automotive stuff, too.
