And both of those approvals have the same minimum HT/HS so the differences would be minor.The daft thing is, with these engine‘s you don’t need anything other than 504/507 or if you want “thicker“ use the 502. Purple oil that makes your engine look like the picture posted above which is then covered in varnish isn’t my idea of a good oil.

10w60 must be a USA thing as the part number posted above didn’t give any results when I checked it.
I work for Audi in the UK. There’s no part number for a 10w60 oil here. A fixed service regardless of year or engine will tell you to use 502 and a flexible ( yes they allow 19,000 miles on a R8 in the UK!) will tell you to use 504/507, which, as already stated by kschachn both oil specs have the same HT/HS minimum spec of 3.5.The 10W60 is recommended for the latest Audi R8 model which engines oil lubrication system has been improved compared to the first generation
