What oil are you folks using?

Dealer uses Castrol 5W-40 in wife's Q5. 7 quart oil sump. OCI is 1 year, which is usually around 6-7K miles for her.

carried in trunks for top off, so far unneeded, is 3/4 quart of plain-jane mobil 1 10w30 syn in passat gifted to me as an unneeded leftover from my brother and a pint of 10w30 brandless (pemex from mexico?) api sn conventional in yaris $1 from dollar tree.

My cousin owns a 2016 NAVI, 3.5 EB. He uses 5W30 PYB every 5K miles along with a MC FL-500S oil filter.

PP Euro 5w40 in the Benz, PP HM 5w30 in the Toyota and PP Ultra 5W30 in the 370z. Oil filter for the Benz is a Mann, FRAM TG for the Toyota and FRAM Ultra for the 370z.
