my problem with the Warren product is that it’s not consistent. Here is a new sample of Mag1 15w40 from a few months newer stock. This was done at the same laboratory on the same fluid out of a different batch. The API rating is the same CK-4. But look at the different calcium numbers. There’s not a base line to watch with them. Chevron is much more consistent.
I worked for the Federal Gov't before retiring and they used 10W-30 recycled oil that came in 55 gallon drums. I don't remember it having any brand name on the drums. They used this for all of the gasoline powered vehicles. I'm not sure what they used for the diesel powered vehicles and tractors.
