What evidence does anyone have that the more expensive recall would have been more beneficial to consumers?
Why should a company just bend over and do whatever a regulator wants if they think it is wasteful? What's wrong with negotiating it?
Or do we have a problem with the attachment of positive words to a recall, and are we totally uninterested in the content of the matter?
These are honest questions BTW.
