Hah! I'm sure it does, but that doesn't mean it teaches them anything.

In my humble opinion, you certainly can't communicate anything like that with your vehicle, or even with a single finger. Any message you make with a digit or with your vehicle is not received as intended.

Personally, I used to be a horn-honker or a light-flasher, but I don't even do that anymore; it's just not worth it. It really only adds to aggression on the road and even a light tap on the horn doesn't seem to produce a result. In fact, it often produces a hand gesture back...so in the end, what did any of it accomplish?

I'm afraid the best way of communication is actual conversation, and that's impossible while on the road. So turn up the radio, chill out, and drive to arrive.

Just be careful though, drifting around a car sounds a little like "stunt driving"... $10K fine and walking for a week isn't fun!

Might as well let them keep pulling out in front of fast-moving traffic. Eventually, the odds will catch up with them and instead of a pickup it'll be the fully-loaded concrete truck that was mentioned earlier. That big Mack will have a new hood ornament - a Prius!

I've also found that a good spritizing of the washers on my Sonata causes enough overspray that they have to clean their windshields. Harmless enough that it doesn't look deliberate but I've inconvenienced the SOB camped out in the left lane doing 53mph. And I have a clean windshield to boot.

A mature adult wouldn't worry about getting the "sucker" back, and wouldn't get their jollies from doing something like that. Getting the "sucker" back sounds like something a 5 year old would be concerned with, but not a mature adult.

It's not my job to teach them anything. I'll simply go on about my business like a mature adult would; I refuse to allow the actions of others to dictate what I do.

Simply put-I don't feel the need to lower myself to your standards.

Not really. It only makes you look foolish.

EXACTLY! Notice (s)he didn't bother to stop either. "Stupid Is as Stupid Does" - Forrest Gump.

My friend from Vietnam was instructed not to swerve in a jeep to avoid a sudden obstruction for exactly the same reason: Danger of roll-over.

This is true. However, I can still get away with barking the tires with the DSC on. It just doesn't let you do any more than that.

To you perhaps, whose opinion I value about as much as the person I'm passing doing 50 in the 80.

Watch out, curmudgeon alert! He's going to get mad and wave his cane at me "[censored] kids!!!".

You have got to be the crustiest, meanest, most self righteous and MISERABLE poster on this board. I genuinely pity the people that have to interact with you on a daily basis.

Not that you care I'm sure.

Yeah, you're right about that. Makes no sense to try at times, plus they outnumber us, lol.

Excuse me?? My standards?? I am not the poster nor was I in the situation.

Chris-

I was away from the forum for a few weeks. Congratulations on the new truck. I saw a few pictures in a different thread.... looks good! You did just fine for what you paid.

Persistence does pay off!

Chris,
I too blow smoke on the "twerps" in their twerp cars... Being just 4 classes away from my BA then going to grad school for my PhD. I'd say it's just the concrete born city boy, I just chalk it up as the lame inconsiderate CITY folk type on mentality. Most city people are this way, at least around here.
Prius driver...needs a pair
