At a Walmart in San Diego.

It looks like it’s FINALLY on the shelf

I didn’t take a pic of the back because I was in a hurry

I should have picked some up!

May switch my wife's CX-90 over to this since HPL isn't really making sense in a new-ish car we won't keep more than another year or so.

25,000 miles guaranteed!
Service interval for my car is 6000 miles 6 months..
where is this guaranteed 25000miles (1year??) interval?
I used their product finder.
There are no asterisks near that statement either.. someone messed up.

Also 0w20's end up out of grade at 6000 miles.. I dont want to see 25000 miles on my engine.. someone else with a 2.4T subaru run it 25000 miles :sneaky:

Sweet Jiminy crickets! I just love marketing!
Wow! We are up to 25k oci now, why even change the oil anymore.
What happens when manufacturers seal the engines like transmissions and say no oil change is needed ever.
Hell, I might just go out and buy me one of them there automobiles😂
Sorry I digress.

I remember picking up some of these for $10 on clearance at WM 2 years ago.

I’d pick up Castrol EDGE long drain oil if on clearance . I put Castrol in 4th place behind Mobil , Valvoline and Pennzoil for off the shelf oils (at least the Castrol oils intended for the USA market) .

I'm curious, why is that? UOAs from here you've seen? What about it makes it worse?

25k Oci really!
I think marketing is really pushing toward the whole Cafe conundrum. Less maintenance.
I'm blown away by this marketing of 25k oil change. That is at least 4 years in my driving habits.

Are people really going to buy a 25k oci product and leave it in there automobiles just because the label says it?

I love marketing.

I work at an auto parts store and lots of customers ask me about these insane mileage claims on the labels of oils now. This has been a topic since the whole "Mobil1 Anuual Protection" came out and that's when it seemed all these oils started getting big mileage numbers on the front. And each iteration of the label design, the numbers get bigger and bigger.

My answer is always something along the lines of, "you should stick to the interval specified by your vehicle manufacturer." I don't follow my own advice with that for sure... when I had my 2010 Escape 2.5 I was doing OCIs about double what Ford stated to do. But, that was a naturally aspirated, not-direct-injected engine doing mostly highway miles in a moderate climate. I would never do such a thing in a direct-injected or turbo-charged engine.
