Have you thought of getting a couple UOAs performed to establish a trend? That’s the usual recommendation for safely extending the OCI. Stick with the Amsoil Signature Series. One of the best PCMO to be had.
It’s perfectly fine to wait, but earlier UOAs can spot the downward trend to indicate it’s past the break in period; while still determining if the lube is suitable for continued use or not. It gets you the data sooner.yes i was tempted to do UOA ..
but kept thinking all metals are gonna be
( normally high ) because engine still in breaking in period ... iron , aluminum, copper ,
(+silicone even) etc .. are all gonna be high
.. thought maybe id start UOA after 20k
establish a "trend" .. then run with it ..

Seeing that we have gone off-topic, maybe best to create a new thread on this subject. Doubt that their oil is out of grade.may i ask another question please,
during my search found out that
HONDA OEM 0W-20 ( full synthetic)
has 10.3 Cst@100 viscosity !!!!!!
A- how come it's still classified as 0W-20!??
( Way over the 9.2 cst !!)
B- does anyone know if that was
the ( full Synthetic) or ( ULTIMATE full synthetic)
oem honda has these 2

What has you thinking that it is? I am genuinely intrigued. Trying to decide which oil to go with on my wife's '24 Mazda CX-5 after the second free dealer oil change.I'm trying to stick with Dexos rated 0w-20 for warranty purposes. I think this oil is the best out there aside from boutique oils.
I also see that the Dexos license # is the same with the new SQ data sheet. In fact, going back to at least 2022, the data sheet shows the exact same license #. I assume this means the oil has not changed? All other properties of the oil listed are also identical (flash point, viscosity, etc).gf-7 and sq. neat. I compared it to the older pds and it seems none of the typical characteristics have changed in any way. Doesn't surprise me it was good enough to meet the new revisions without needing to be changed.
It’s not really a big issue because as others have noted it’s probably the same formula. Just wish Amazon would be a little more specific. FYI if you contact Amazon customer service chat they will offer a partial refund to compensate for the different bottle.I just got mine today in 5w20 flavor from Amazon...yup says 20k and not 25K although pictured as such.
Says it exceeds SP....
It works and probably is the same formula.View attachment 264613

Amazon direct and delivered in one day. No big deal just noting so.The ones that say 20k were discontinued 1 year ago I think, I'm guessing it's old stock. Though a year isn't gonna do anything to reduce the service life. Was is directly by amazon or a third party? Must've been a third party unless amazon was processing stock first in first out.
The old stock pile must be hugeeeeeThe ones that say 20k were discontinued 1 year ago I think, I'm guessing it's old stock. Though a year isn't gonna do anything to reduce the service life. I have an order of 6 jugs coming tomorrow from Amazon. FYI, the listing does say that you may get the 20,000 mile OR the 25,000 mile bottle. Do your 20,000 mile bottles still list the MB 229.71 spec? Castrol has conflicting data sheets, as not all of the sheets spec 229.71 but every bottle I’ve seen with API SP, even the older 20,000 mile bottles, do have the 229.71 spec.Amazon is going to get back to me and they are contacting Castrol. Although Amazon sold it....they were nice...no big deal...asking just to know.
The 0w20 EP is unobtainium in person, unless you want to pay auto parts store prices. It’s even out of stock often online, or priced super high.As much as everyone loves the convenience of ordering things from Amazon, in cases like this you’re better off buying this oil in person so you know exactly what you’re getting. I know that most people on here enjoy having the latest formulas of oils.
