On Monday, our representative from a local parts distributor stopped by and showed off a new line of oil filters they have started carrying. The brand name is "Pronto", and they appear to be constructed by the same company that produced/produces the "Driveworks" brand for Advance Auto Parts. The filters are made in China and Korea, depending on the application. I purchased four of them for my truck for $1.90 a piece. They are obviously intended to be a quick lube/shop filter. The construction is very sturdy, almost to the feel a heft of a WIX. I figure they'll be fine for my conservative OCI's. Just putting it out there.
