Hello, new here. I tried searching, calling AcDelco asking dealships and as many people as I can but still not getting a clear answer. I’m wondering what the difference is between AcDelco 10-9243 Vs AcDelco 10-9394. They both say Dexron VI but one says full synthetic on the front and the other doesn’t. I thought all AcDelco Dexron vi was full synthetic? Any help I’d greatly appreciate,TIA.

It’s probably how each supplier defines “synthetic “ … for example the P66 stuff (on right) ? They make Grp3 from hydro processing instead of cracking. Both meet a rigorous spec.
I found a great deal for Valvoline on Walmart

When you say the P66 stuff (on the right) are you referring to my pictures I attached? The pictures are both AcDelco Dexron vi.

They don’t make the fluid … that bottle is a Phillips 66 bottle …
Ah ok, I’ve read on another thread here on bitog that one is full synthetic and one is a blend, but I thought all AcDelco Dexron vi was full synthetic.

I did find another link to a forum where a member said Dex VI has to be a blend or better so maybe it's the older blend whereas they're switching to the newer full synthetic?

Dex 6 is stout stuff regardless of base stocks or blends, or whatever.

Ok, I don’t know why I’m geeking out on this lol. Well maybe I do lol. I’m about to start up a brand new 1000hp Ls motor with a brand new rossler 4l80e and want to use the best dex6 possible lol. I have 15qts of the AcDelco Dexron vi pn# 10-9394.

The transmission will not blow up if it's Dex 6. Regardless of part numbers.

Right on, I guess my real question is if the 10-9394 is in deed actually full synthetic? Iv read some people say it’s a blend.

Yes like I said Iv searched. Most topics you just listed are comparing dex6 fluids in general, all brands. I was just wondering about the the two diff AcDelco dex6 bottles with different part numbers. Thank you though.

Yeah but then you splintered into a question about the base stocks. I thought that first link was pertinent to your original question.
