Anyone ever heard of having issues with using different mixes of Dexron VI? I recently dropped my pan, changed filter, replaced 1-2/3-4 shift solenoids and 3-2 downshift solenoid on my 06 Sierra 1500 2WD for the first time. Truck has 148k miles.

A week later, i ended up deciding to flush the trans with all brand new fluid. I had used ACDelco 10-9395 Dexron VI that i got from Amazon, but was short 3 quarts to refill. Couldn't find that same brand here in town, so i decided to get Castrol Transmax Dexron -VI Mercon LV. So there is about 8 quarts of the ACDelco Dexron VI and 3 quarts of the Castrol Transmax Dexron VI/Mercon LV in my truck. I have not driven it yet, do you think there is any likelihood of me running into issues?

I don't see any problem, both meet the required spec and are reputable brands.

To be Dexron VI licensed/certified, a fluid has to undergo compatibility testing with a GM “reference fluid”.

Dex VI info starts on page 255 of the PDF.
