Man, this site is awesome! I've been lurking for a few months and now and have applied what I've learned to maintaining my wife's Expedition and my Integra. This winter I'm finishing the restoration of my 1978 Bronco and want to get your ideas on what you'd suggest for an oil. It is a 400 CID motor with about 4000 miles on a rebuild. It will be driven 2-3 times per week on the highway for a total of about 100 miles/week. I had previously used Pennzoil 10W30 but am considering Mobil 1. The manual recommends anywhere from 5W30 to 10W40 depending on the temperature. I use a Motorcraft FL1A filter by the way. I'd appreciate your opinions. I am planning on posting a UOA in the future.

I had a Bronco once. 1981 model. Bought it sometime 1994-1995, Got rid of it in 1998. What a loser. Full of electrical gremlins. But I never had an engine problem. I used straight 30-weight dino oil in it.
