I'm blending my impressions from this video with his ones from the other showroom video, where he got into the interior a bit more.I didn’t get that same impression from Thomas on his review of the interior. He really appreciated the simple lines plus having buttons for essential needs instead of using a touch screen. He did point out the width of the console and how it affected his right leg.
Yes, and how it got a little loose in the steering over a bump, that was another critique. The biggest knock was on the suspension and how the bumps were transmitted into the cabin and passenger. At one point he noted how the steering was affected by that. Would smaller tires help? That was one question but the weight of the batteries seemed to be his primary thought.
That may be true (the difference between the Germans and the Japanese) but I also think that we are looking at a first kick at the can here and we'll likely see some improvements going forward.Thomas is a huge BMW fan. That should be noted. Nothing wrong with that but on occasion his bias will show. He calls Mazda the “Japanese BMW” but that might be a unfair comparison. I think Japan and Germany have different ideas on driving and handling.
