Also, that was a few years ago? One of our Camry's came with 0% APR. But that was the tail end of the great recession. Things change, including dealerships. So much changes... every few years.

Did some errands this morning and for kicks, went back to the dealership to see if anything else on the lot has similar mark-ups. Well....
But they did have two GR Corolla's in the showroom; one for $41k, the other for $47k.

Some dealers like to mark them up and give unreal money for the trade in which makes the customer think they really acquired a good deal. Best to get on the internet and move on to a better deal.

Kendall has lost it lol. I was looking at a wagoneer in Stuart when they first came out, 35k mark up. Now they have huge discounts. I’m 2 hours from Miami and I’ve never found a better deal there than say palm beach, Stuart, fort pierce. I guess if one is desperate they pay, but driving a few hours makes all the difference.
30.7% markup. Wow.

That's ES money, and I'm willing to bet the Lexus dealers don't play these games.
You can pay a car buyer a fee and likely avoid all that or order car from NH dealer and pay a shipping fee for less.
Personally those adjusted market price items are for glorified buy here pay here lots of new cars. They want desperate car buyer niche who is upside down and poor credit to take more advantage of them .
They have no interest in educated buyers.

The MSRP price of Camrys hasn't gone up all that much since I bought mine 10 years ago. My Camry XLE was stickered at about $36k and I got it for $30k with a 0% interest rate. 10 years later, the interest rates are up and the dealers are greedier. Although, the Toyota dealers have been through a few years of very lean inventory with cars sold while in transport to the dealership. Low supply drove up the out the door price.
I remember in Burnaby how arrogant the Honda stealership was inthe 2000's.
$949 in doc fees?! That’s not happening. I’d offer them $200 in doc fees and if they don’t like it, walk. Pure profit center.
My buddy bought one of them there inexpensive Jettas a couple years ago. He absolutely hates it. A lot of little things have broken in it.
