Went looking at new Corolla's with/for a buddy. Nope, not happening.

Just came across this...lol

First page I click on is a 33k crap box, last page I click on is a literally house sized price tag mini van.
I will play a fiddle like Nero as I watch these manufacturers and dealers burn.

Yup, very possible.
Also, that was a few years ago? One of our Camry's came with 0% APR. But that was the tail end of the great recession. Things change, including dealerships. So much changes... every few years.

Come up to New Hampshire, buy the car of your dreams, get a 20-day plate, drive it home, pay the tag agency and FL sales tax. NH has no sales tax and the northeast Toyota middlemen are among the cheapest in the country.
Yup. Just up the road from me.

but isn't the Kia Forte best in class? - Don't fall for Toyota hyperbole. Bunch of Baloney

Sadly, the dealer up the street is not linking the real MSRP monroney. I think TSRP or SRP still has added junk. And just say NO to $598 doc fees

I love walking out when just about to sign after two to three hours of wasted chatter. Then to have the salesperson chase me and tap on my car window as I am about to drive away :)

Just never shop desperate! Easier said than done when hungry for a new ride.

Did some errands this morning and for kicks, went back to the dealership to see if anything else on the lot has similar mark-ups. Well....

But they did have two GR Corolla's in the showroom; one for $41k, the other for $47k.

Nearly 50k for a Camry ? 🤣

Kendall has lost it lol. I was looking at a wagoneer in Stuart when they first came out, 35k mark up. Now they have huge discounts. I’m 2 hours from Miami and I’ve never found a better deal there than say palm beach, Stuart, fort pierce. I guess if one is desperate they pay, but driving a few hours makes all the difference.

You can pay a car buyer a fee and likely avoid all that or order car from NH dealer and pay a shipping fee for less.

Personally those adjusted market price items are for glorified buy here pay here lots of new cars. They want desperate car buyer niche who is upside down and poor credit to take more advantage of them .

They have no interest in educated buyers.

The MSRP price of Camrys hasn't gone up all that much since I bought mine 10 years ago. My Camry XLE was stickered at about $36k and I got it for $30k with a 0% interest rate. 10 years later, the interest rates are up and the dealers are greedier. Although, the Toyota dealers have been through a few years of very lean inventory with cars sold while in transport to the dealership. Low supply drove up the out the door price.

Hard disagree. I'm guessing you haven't owned a modern one, especially with low $20k Jettas being available new.
My buddy bought one of them there inexpensive Jettas a couple years ago. He absolutely hates it. A lot of little things have broken in it.
