He's now looking at Civics and the Kia K4.

A while back a local Jeep/Ram dealer was adding $7,500 market adjustment price to the sticker price of Wranglers and other vehicles. I was looking in the show room waiting for Warranty work to get done. When the pushy salesman approached and started the pitch I quickly shut him down asking if anyone was stupid enough to pay over sticker. He got the hint real quick and walked away. That was the second dealer I was at that was trying that stunt. Jeep is hurting big time, the same dealer is offering big discounts now.

Don't the Southeast Toyota dealers have a bad reputation compared to Toyota dealers elsewhere around the USA? Something to do with franchising I've heard?
SE Toyota is the master distributor for 5 states. The issue is they load the cars up with junk add ons and then pass that on to the dealers. So there forced to tack the cost on.

The dealers themselves are Independant.

All I can say is my independent dealership gets a ton of traffic from those who are sick of market adjustments and bogus fees. The bulk of what we sell are 2016 and newer vehicles with less than 60,000 miles.

I always do no-haggle pricing. Everyone gets treated the same. After taxes we only charge $20 to handle the paperwork.

What we may lose with the lack of criminality we more than make up for with referrals. I tell folks that my favorite customer is the one that keeps their cars for 10 years but sends me 20 referrals.

We also purchase.vehicles nationally and deliver them straight to our customers. About half of our customers never even have to step into our showroom.

Come up to New Hampshire, buy the car of your dreams, get a 20-day plate, drive it home, pay the tag agency and FL sales tax. NH has no sales tax and the northeast Toyota middlemen are among the cheapest in the country.
