Not to channel the late Yogi Berra but however long it takes OP to get where he goes, is however long it takes. There is chaos in the world and part of that is compromising your own speed/ lane position to play with others, even if it is them who are in the wrong.

If he thinks he can control the world, it's going to lead to undue stress.

Yea..that's the thing..I am 69 years old. I used to get angry often. I could feel my heart pound. I imagine my bp was through the rough.

I resolved to change that about 5 years ago. I have not had one episode like that since. What a blessing. I can't even begin how it changed my life for the better.

Old farts like me and grampi I would guess will not change the world by getting to McDonalds 5 minutes earlier.

...and cell phone users...

there's a flatbed company, you know, the one with shiny black trucks that has pulled the free gov't money scam. Train them, work them for a while then cut back on their loads to run them off after you got yo free gov't monies.

We have no busses here to take us anywhere.

Want to see "bad", experience the RV haulers from Quebec, Canada.

Over all I think the problem with truckers is no more than the problem with society in general. We have turned into slobs across the board. JMO

As society progresses, the more dog eat dog things seem to become.

People got more scared.

...That's pretty much it. Actual crime rates have plummeted in recent decades.

Not really, I live in a small town of 3,000 folks. Never any crime to speak of. But we've had 10 break-ins in the last 3 days. So now things have changed in our small town.

One word, "DRUGS".

Grampi, Good news! The Ohio State Highway Patrol has taken your advice, and decided to do something.

The Ohio State Patrol and Akron police are teaming up to decrease the number of crashes involving commercial vehicles, and they're doing it from the seat of a truck........According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 67 percent of fatal crash deaths involving commercial vehicles in Ohio are the fault of drivers around the trucks.

You always have a voice!

Too bad it's focused on the wrong drivers...they need to be watching truck drivers and working to keep them from impeding traffic flow....that's the problem...if truckers weren't clogging up the roads, POV drivers wouldn't NEED to drive stupidly (and dangerously) to get around them...

Do you really believe that? If there were no trucks, people would stop driving dangerously?

With good reason. Its CRIME RATE. And it concentrates in cities. Go to any city and leave your car unlocked and see what happens.
