I love the snow but ... Kinda done with it

Yeah, trail riding on lakes or public trails at night has got to be 10x more dangerous than motorcycles. I've gone trail riding twice and its not for me... Semi-drunk to really drunk guys coming the other way at 50-60-70mph on a 12' wide trail... (I guess I didn't drink enough to make it seem like a good idea?)
Ditch banging and doing some deep snow riding on the property is more fun and a heck of lot safer!
I like riding during the week, no weekends for me anymore. Several fatalities here this year in the NY ADK's. Night riding is fine with me, at least oncoming sled headlights are visible to both parties. This winter I've got more time in the groomer than on my sled.
I've burned 20 gal. of gas in my Ariens so far this winter, Kubota is in my eyes but sadly not in my wallet.

Wow that is a lot of gas! How much snow have you got this year? I figure roughly my tractor uses a gallon/hr but I might have 15 hrs in snowplowing this winter? I did 4 the one night moving the banks back while they were not to hard, and almost got stuck a couple times being silly... I'm thinking blower for next year, then I won't have to deal with banks...

Indeed. I don't think that I could handle it up here without my garage.

Lake effect zone. Town says 132 inches for this winter season as of a week ago. My yard snow stick is at 42 inches deep. 8 hp Ariens doing 200 feet of driveway and yard dog paths around the house plus keeping Generac clear. Snow blow out usually takes me 3 hours.

We have had very little snow this winter and there is probably about 3 inches on the ground right now. The forecast is 37 degrees today and 50s on Monday and Tuesday which will melt everything. It's been a nice winter but we had a week and a half cold spell. I wouldn't doubt we get hammered in March but it won't last long. Anytime we can make it to March when I clean the driveway and sidewalk I get it "good enough" because it melts quickly. I do not like any kind of excessive snowfalls.

If I had to do it again, I would have bought an even more powerful snowblower even though the one I bought when we first moved into this house was pretty powerful ( Toro Power Max 8 HP ).

Glad I never bought the electric version ( less maintenance ).
