Should I trust Jeep engineers on 0W-20?

Assume you have stop/start?

Yeah I have that but I disabled it with a Tazer šŸ˜„

Not sure that matters if the Aux14 is still active - donā€™t think they become an issue for the first couple years ā€¦
Jeep has always had electrical issues so I am ready for them ā˜¹ļø So far so good, 11,500 miles and it runs like a clock.

It will do whatā€™s in this write up ā€¦
Some I know bought both batteries - but some are doing what I did.

I just want to change from Mobile1 0-20 to 5-20 because of the hot Florida weather. I'm assuming that would be OK as my 2019 Grand Cherokee is out of warranty. My mechanic said 0 to 5 on the lower # is OK but leave the top # 20 alone. He said it is because of the cam phasers wont work correctly with the thicker oil like 5-30. I wanted to use M1 5-30 because all my other vehicles use it.

I highly doubt that. Has he ran a test program to verify that, or just running off of internet rumor and YouTube videos?

Wait till the warranty is over before changing oil weights.

Why? If the oil viscosity is insufficient, you want to increase ASAP, and if it is sufficient, you don't ever need to change. Changing viscosity later on when damage is done is futile.

Going up in viscosity does not violate warranty anyway.
