Recommendation, one oil for the garage

Looking for an oil recommendation. I've got three cars in the garage, all requiring 0w20. I'd like to use the same oil in all three cars for ease of filling the crankcase and topping up:

1. 2024 Grand Cherokee, Pentastar V6. (Under warranty, 5000 miles)
2. 2023 Subaru BRZ. (Under warranty, 7500 miles)
3. 2019 Nissan Murano. (70000 miles)

The Jeep and Murano will get oil changes every 5k miles which is something like once every six months. The BRZ OCI is 6 months/6000 miles, and for the sake of the warranty I'll go ahead and change it every 6 months even though it really feels like a waste. In 6 months, I probably put 2500 miles on the car - it sits a lot; no track driving. Location: Houston.

Criteria for oil - anything available at Walmart is fair game. I feel the price differences between the oils that they carry is negligible, so we can exclude price.

Is there a better choice than M1 0w20 EP ? It does state that it meets MS-6395 (in case of a warranty related brawl with the dealership), but most of the oils that they carry do. I notice that the BRZ engine is noisy - I understand typical for Subaru - and have read anecdotally that drivetrain noise is sometimes noticed more with M1 but I don't know if there is anything to that.

What would you use?

P.S. Kudos to Chrysler for setting an oil capacity at an even 5.0 qt...

I'd be looking at M1EP 0w20 with the requirements that you state.

Personally, I don't think there would be one bit of an issue with using M1EP 5w30 in your climate, shoot, even 10w30 in your climate would be fine. Might even "cure" that noisy BRZ.

If the Nissan does not consume any oil at 70K -- hard to beat the Mobil EP 0W20. Personally I like 0W20 QSUP for the money also for your intervals. Prior advice going to 5W30 was good too..

Echoing the supertech/kirkland recommendation. At those low mileages, these oils will perform great. You can load up on Kirkland during Costcos sale that usually occurs every other month.

The way I see it, since they are require 0w20, you're already golden. If you are happy with whatever is sold at Walmart, then the brand name is fungible. Just buy whatever 0w20 makes you happy that day.

I'd use a full synthetic 5w30, or at least 5w20. Any brand sold at Wallyworld I think would be fine.

FWIW I have found Mobil One, Penzoil Platinum, and Chevron to be slightly thinner than Valvoline and Shell.

If using 0w20 or 5w20 for your applications, then I'd choose a brand that runs thicker (such as Valvoline or Shell).

Personally, Pennzoil Platinum or Shell 5w30 would be my 1st choice for your applications. My 2nd choice would be Mobil One 5w30 or Chevron 5w30. My 3rd choice Valvoline 5w20. My 4th choice Valvoline 0w20. I wouldn't use Mobil One or Chevron 0w20 because I think they're too thin.

There might also be other good brands/choices at Wallys. I only have personal experience using and reading specs of those brands in Jeeps and a Buick.

Pennzoil ultra platinum 0w-20, or Valvoline 0w-20 EP. Royal Purple 0w-20 ,in that order will work good.

Havoline that you guys down there get in the boxes…great value.
Almost impossible to find anymore. Those 6qt boxes were an outstanding deal for a good oil. Always OOS at Walmart. Used to get them for $22/6qt. Now $29 if you can find it.

They were a great deal but Pennzoil and QS are the same or cheaper per qt at $24 and $23, respectively. Some viscossities are not there, but my local WM always has a box or two on the shelf...possibly the same box that was there last year when the price jumped!
