Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

The saddest box of oil I've ever purchased. Forgotten in the corner top shelf of NAPA's DC. Found when it was available online and checked out.
Glue holding the box together failed so it was taped up with packing tape. Even the tape is rotting and peeling away.
This oil is a bit different than it's Euro MST variant meeting higher VW approvals.

M1 truck and SUV 5w-30 and an M1-212 filter for my father in law’s F150 with only 67k miles. Mechanics suggested he move to a heavier oil to band aid the failing VTC (I think) solenoids, I suggested he buy a high mileage Toyota last year but ya know, “I’ve always had fords”.
Go to oil filters forum and check out the 212A I cut open today.

Two 5 qt jugs of Valvoline Extended Protection 5W-30 for the Coyote. One qt of Valvoline 10W-40 4-stroke motorcycle oil for the KLX300.

Nothing special, just some Mobil 1 HM + M1 0w-40 for my Sequoia, and some M1 0w-16 for my dad’s new Camry that needs its next oil change soon. The STP S25 filter I got last week is for my 1974 Firebird, for a filter made in China, it feels pretty heavy and solid. premium guard hasn't disappointed me lately as I’ve been lurking the filter forums

^ They look older . What's the manufacture date ? Cut and open ? ;) ^
Other BITOG members have bought the same PG4612 oil filters, and the date code on all filters is 24MHM15 3470. I think that's 2024, but I'm waiting for an answer from Premium Guard.

Decided to FAFO. Have No VII Euro 5w30 in my 3.5 EcoBoost and Premium Plus 0w30 in my Ascent. Called up Mary Jane and had her send a case of SuperCar 0w30 my way.

14.4k in-service UOA on the No VII looked good; coming up on the first 5k in-service UOA of the Ascent. Figured what can SuperCar hurt, amirite? 🤣

Walmart drive up pick-up.

I have a 2014 Volvo S60 T5 (still the 2.5 5 cylinder). Just over 100k miles.

It started to consume a bit around 60-70k. This was during the period the last 5 cylinders and first 4 cylinders had ring drain back holes, which were much too small. It ruined otherwise really good engines, sad!

I'm up to 1 quart consumed in 4000 miles. Worrisome as I know it can get really bad in these engines.

Going to use Restore & Protect and hope it improves it a bit, fingers crossed. I had always used Mobil 1 0w40, but right now car has the Castrol Professional 5w30 because during some repairs I did last year, the dealer "accidentally" did a $1800 oil change too (I didn't pay for that).

It was between this and a WIX 57462. They were the only synthetic blended media filters I could find. Purolator One lists a PL26293 that's synthetic blend, but can't find it available anywhere. Will be replacing a Hengst 03H115562.
