Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

15w40 ultraclean? 😮
Yep, a semi-synthetic 15W40 PCMO that’s rated API SN/CF and ACEA A3/B3. I’ve used it a bit, and have some sitting ready in my stash.

Nice, a blend where the 10w is a match to the 5w, most I’ve seen the 5w is usually thicker at op temp.
I hear what you are saying, a 5W30 which is thicker than a 10W30 at 100C, I’ve seen that too, reading spec sheets for new oil.

However I suspect at the end of a 5k to 7k mile OCI, it wouldn’t be unusual to see the situation reversed in a UOA, as the 5W shears down more than the 10W, leaving the 10W30 thicker at the end of the oil change interval.

This is with ILSAC oils, all bets are off with Euro ACEA oils, which need to pass a stay-in-grade shear stability test.

The 10W30 is rarely on sale here....
Well it didn’t take very long for the universe to prove me wrong, I just saw Gulf Western 10W30 semi-synthetic (API SP and ILSAC GF-6A) at 70% Off, so $10 (AUD) for 5L

That’s $7.31 (USD) for 5.28 quarts......I might have to get me some of that.

Two cars CarQuest conventional 5w30. Manager/pothead/hippie friend of mine calls me up says “ya want two cases of CQ conventional 5w30 for $10?”

I said I’ll be right there. Also scored this filter made 2012 for a big 85 cents

Also, this AAP which is maybe 1/4 mile from me has hydraulic AW 32? 5gal pails for $20 clearance. Saw a older farmer/horse trainer friend come in and he offered $10 for each one. He walked out with the last two jugs 😳😳

I did get me some of that, 2 x 5 litre jugs of the new SP rated Gulf Western 10W30 at $10 each.
They started with a whole shelf full of it, and it was more than half gone by the time I got there.

So the gf is taking notes from me. Went to AAP near her place; spied 2 6quart mini cases of CarQuest 0w40 on clearance cart. No price so she said “what you have to have for these?” Manager said $2 each; obviously she grabbed both 😍🥰

Recently bought three K&N PS-1010 oil filters on Amazon for $3.01 each. Now they're listed for $6.99. To even out my stash I also bought a couple of Cam2 Superpro Max 5w-20 syn blend quarts for $2.89 a quart at a Napa store in NC. In November they were $1.99 everyday price.

Bought a bottle of this to help clean up an unknown history 08 Corolla. It’ll go in with 10w30 maxlife. The non concentrate version seemed to be favored by members here years ago.

Fixed it for you :D

Erhm...not old, mature.

Because it's the last year of the 2nd gens and my brother managed to scoop up one of the last Tundra Double Cab Long Bed 4x4s before they are completely gone.
With the rumors of Toyota halting production of the V8's it might be the last of the V8's too.

One of the salesperson I was talking to has the arrival dates for the new Tundra, expecting to take delivery November this year and having them out on the sales floor early next year.

Mature :ROFLMAO: That's for sure, how old is the 2nd gen now? 14 years?

Sorry, not the point - curious if Toymota release the engine line up yet? i'm guessing not if you think they might not have a V8?

The Great Oil Harvest giveth.

Typical week... A few thousand quarts of clearanced out premium oil from Walmart, which basically paid me to take it off their hands.

Picked up a pile of clearance oil filters from rock auto for 1/3rd of retail prices...

Ya know, the usual ... lol.
Photos represent a small percent of the boxes received and unpacked oil which is in nearly every room of my house, totally full everywhere. Installing 2 huge industrial shelving units to store it all... lol. Cost, about zero dollars... definitely less than $200 at this point; this is not an exaggeration. Cost right now is around 10 cents, maybe 5 cents per QUART. It will go to less than zero when I sell a few hundred quarts.
