Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Does atf count?

Bought 18 quarts of Valvoline import multi vehicle on Amazon, still waiting on 12, all got shipped separately.

Case of 5w50 FS Mobil 1 from NAPA. Always wanted to try this one but either couldn't find it or was stupid expensive. Got it at ~$4.50/qt. Probably run it this fall since I've got some 15w40 and 10w40 left to use up while it's warm out. Just tipping the bottle it seems thinner at room temperature than Valvoline 10w40.

Popped by Menards and got 0W20 for my Mirage and 5W20 and a filter for a friend's avenger. They said the high mileage pretty much stopped the oil leak they had so I decided to keep using it and also give quaker state a try in my car. My neighbor might also be needing his cars serviced here soon as well so I might wind up doing oil changes all weekend lol

Got a lot of 5 ecotec Fram Ultra cartridges, only $15 on ebay the packages were a little rough, but they looked ok, I stuffed them in a ziplock to keep dirt and debris from getting to them in the crushed up packages.

Jug of Castrol Edge Euro 5w40, jug of Mobil1 HM 10w40 from WM. A couple Wix filters for each car in the home fleet from Rock Auto. Gotta be prepared and well-stocked for battle!

While at Home Depot they had these QS jugs on clearance "due to weeping oil" like many non-foil sealed oil jugs do when crammed together. I bought all they had that was on clearance for $7 each. Cleaned them up and stored properly

Nice, old school 10W30 conventional (maybe a Synblend now days...not sure) but with modern specs of API SP and ILSAC GF-6A, and with a decent 30 grade viscosity at KV100 = 10.75 cSt.

With the natural advantages of 10W30 such as its low Noack volatility and its shear stability, coupled with the new tests added to SP & GF-6A, like timing chain wear protection and LSPI protection, this is all most people need if doing a reasonable OCI like 5-6k miles in a climate above 0F in temp.

I like how the new specs (SP & GF-6A) have made more traditional grades real contenders again.

I couldn't agree more, and coat-tailing off your technical comments with an objective observation of how smooth QS has been in the Tucson*, i'm very pleased i could find it now that Walmart (around here) has dropped it.

*I recently posted a thread of how smooth and quiet Quaker State All Mileage ran in the Tucson. I expect nothing less from Quaker State 10w30 for 5K-6K like you mentioned.

They also had a few jugs of 10w30 SN Plus but at regular price $14/jug. I may return for those later this week. $14 isn't bad.
