If anyone ever calls Mobil's techline, use option #1 and ask to speek with Matt. He's a nice guy that will actually answer your question in a bit more detail. But he won't answer whether they are using the newer PAO's or not. (UltraSyn)

I asked him today about the hold up on the product data sheets. He said they are comming out within the month.

He also stated that they tested these oils against all the competitors, even Amsoil. (I asked him specifically). He did say Amsoil is a quality product and that they do buy additives and baseoils from them. Most of this we already knew. The phrase "Nothing Outperforms Mobil 1" is due to Mobil 1 meeting or exceeding more API and manufacturer specficiations then any other oil. When they use that term, it's in reference to that.
