Yikes,, get some rust converter, then self etch primer, then color and clear on that bare metal stat!

Perhaps, but it will make a mess. I was thinking naval jelly to convert the rust, then mask, self etch prime, and then get some paint in there. To save $, a single stage might do...
Honestly, the "best way" would have been to get an actual body man to fix it. If you ever do that now it is going to be a lot more work for him. A good quality suction cup (like they use for W/S) and some judicious tapping would have gotten 80-90% of that dent out.
What is done is done though.
gotta get the loose paint off, feather the edges, get to bare clean metal, self etching primer on bare metal, primer and topcoat it. Since your guy has cracked the paint all over the dent you've got a lot of work on your hands...
Hi there -
I will try give you some helpful info but you are in a bit of uncharted territory without much real tuning support I'm afraid.
Long story short, the MAF sensor and o2 sensor are really the main basis of control for fueling. They don't know or care if the engine is 2.5 or 2.0, the MAF measures the air coming in so if a 2.0 is installed and brings in less air, the MAF registers this and fueling stays appropriate. The o2 sensor measures AFR and further adjusts for the idle and cruise areas. So it SHOULD be running pretty close to how it was before unless you've got a bad/dirty MAF or the o2 sensor is going out so those are things to look into.
I can't say for sure if that ECU change will help or not. For $60 it might be worth trying it and see how it feels.
I am afraid we cannot tune that ECU though so we're no help there as far as fine tuning goes.
Best of luck on things!
Ahhh! Very nice timing.
Here is the reply I got back from Boosted Performance. I should mail them back and say Thank You:
So. There's that...
And, again, we have the Fuel Dilution narrative having a hole blasted in it.
Someone did me a favor by stepping down as the authoritarian on me/stuff.

I will go look. You don't have a MAF from any of the pictures you've shown nor the data I've found on the subject, your car is Speed Density, that's been stated several times now. Earlier cars were MAF, which would prevent a fuel dilution situation.
How about you go and check?
Follow the air intake plumbing from the throttle body out, if there's an electronic device present there with a plug on it (not visible in any of your photos) then you have a MAF and then there's no risk of fuel dilution, that problem ONLY applies to a Speed Density setup, which has no clue how much air the engine is ingesting, which I explained to you IN DETAIL several times now.
See this thread:I will go look.
See this thread:

Apparently earlier cars had MAF but it was removed in place of (simpler) MAP. It was removed a couple of years earlier on Euro/Oz cars (according to that thread).

It would look something like this if you had one:

Okay, I have a question for whenever we see, I have to go to work soon as well.
This picture. Is THIS what we are calling a MAF sensor, they usually look like this, (sensor right in the middle of an air stream?) Here is the/A picture.

OVERKILL - I am very happy you're here.
Let me stay focused (we do appear to be posting at the same time) - That is actually one of my hopes.. What if the Japanese JDM EJ20 (probably an EJ201) had MAF.
This may be very simple to you, but I promise you it is greek to me untl I actually go see/go/do/put my hands on it.
Let me go outside and open the hood.
I see.It won't matter, the engine doesn't dictate the MAF or MAP, that's handled by the ECM and if your car is MAP, then it isn't looking for a signal from a MAF, it's operating based on engine vacuum to infer load.
