Good Morning folks. I am wondering about the HPL NO VII 10w20 oil. Is it actually a 20 weight or a 30weight? I know a member here has run it in his Hyundai. Thank You

What is the HTHS?it’s a 20w by viscosity but with a HTHS rating nearing that of OTS 30weights iirc.
2.759 for the PCMO Version. What is the HTHS?
But it thickens up to almost a 30 weightIt’s a W20, per the specified name.
2.742What is the HTHS for the custom Overkill 0w20? I seem to remember that it was close to 2.9, is that correct?
HowBut it thickens up to almost a 30 weight
No matter I got some on the way.
Dunno and don’t care. It’s fine for my fleet
Oxidation and zero shear.
Thanks, I knew he was wanting to start something. Appreciate itOxidation and zero shear.
So what I betting HPL don't make a single oil that is not shear stable but they will still take on fuel. I could possibly careless what you ever run in a vehicle. Thanks, I knew he was wanting to start something. Appreciate it![]()
Like you, I stick with M1 because it is inexpensive and readily available, while performing quite well. However, I don't think there is any downside to using certain boutique oils, especially the ones without VII's.Seems like a lot of these boutique oils still involve trade-offs of one kind or other... I'll just stick with my Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W20 & 5W30 at 7500 or 1 year, thanks.
WutStart what I betting HPL don't make a single oil that is not shear stable but they will still take on fuel. I could possibly careless what you ever run in a vehicle.
It may or may not. Regardless of that fact, just because what an oil could do doesn’t mean we change the name or viscosity/grade/weight on what it could be. We name it what it currently is as unused. But it thickens up to almost a 30 weight
No matter I got some on the way.
So we make up a grade to a oil because of what may or may not happen to an oil.Oxidation and zero shear.
Respectfully have you looked at Ready4War used oil analysis? So we make up a grade to a oil because of what may or may not happen to an oil.
will the HTHS of the oil increase along with it why do we label oils of what they are than.
