I try (but sometimes fail) to do oldest first. Sounds like you have some rather old stuff, I'd be a little hesitant to use anything pre 1995 from a certification standpoint.

Milwaukee (via used Ebay) has a relatively cheap inspection camera if you want to take out a spark plug and start poking around. Valve covers are probably easy to remove.

I did pour some of the Delvac into dry, clean washer fluid jug. No additive fallout and actually decent looking.
