My latest way of drinking coffee by preserving as much flavor as possible without paper filter:
Need 1 small strainer, 1 small cup about 4 oz, and a larger mug (10-12 oz).
Add about 3 tea spoon of grind into the cup, add hot water (my pot's thermal sensor said 195F), then microwave for 30 sec, or stop if it was about to boil and overflow. Take the strainer and put it over the large mug, pour the coffee from microwave into the large mug through the strainer.
When done, take the strainer and coffee out and put it inside the small cup, the grind should be in the strainer but some didn't. Now pour another cup of boiling water into the small cup with strainer. Wait for 1 minutes, strain the coffee from small cup into the large one.
All of the coffee's aroma preserved. This is like french press except you can't put a french press inside a microwave.
