Coffee is coffee. Period.

I used to be the same way until I discovered how much I love iced coffee. That was a game changer for me 😋
I forgot about ice coffee. I might not drink coffee but I sure do like to drink half of the iced ones my wife gets. She is always on me to get my own.

As I sit here, enjoying my 3rd cup (actually 6th if you get technical since my mug is 8oz.)
Pretty sure that 8 ounces = 1 cup, so you were right the first time.

milk comes from a mammal.
YES! Thank you for stating what should be obvious.

The reason why I drink decaf is because if I have caffeine every single day then my body gets used to it to the point where it becomes ineffective and doesn’t give me that boost of energy.
Yup. Many years ago National Geographic published an article on caffeine. In a sidebar article, they described the exact thing that you experience. No question that caffeine stimulates the brain. But regular use of caffeine results in a caffeine dependent brain that is less active than the brain of a person that does not regularly use caffeine in their diet. January of 2005 if you are curious.

🤣 the guy without the caffeine is usually asleep at his desk so I'm not sure how his brain would be more active.

I like coffee but I guess I will always be that unrefined coffee drinker as my Gold standard would perhaps be a fresh cup of ground black coffee sitting at my local Waffle House. I like it so much I purchased a WH coffee Cup at a thrift shop. the shape of that HW cup is all part of the experience!
I like a strong cup of "normal old school black coffee"
I like it black and strong but I am NOT a fan of dark roasted!

I remember what was it 15-20 years ago when McDonalds changed things up with its then new dark roast McWatever its called coffee. Thats about the time I stopped visiting Mc D's in the morning as that once morning coffee great smell was replaced with to me what smells like burnt coffee.

I also like Bojangles coffee as far as fast food joints. If at home a fresh brewed with Spring Water Maxwell House, Folgers or to change it up a cup of Gevalia is al I need to be happy!

I never add sugar or cream or anything to my coffee except on a rare cold winter morning in the deep South as I have enjoyed a little coffee with a big bottle of bailey's Irish cream as that can make for a jolly snow, out of school / out of work morning!

I'm not a big fan of Starbucks as its simply expensive and nothing special to me...

Its the simple things I go for, a simple black cup of old school coffee.

I once had a 80 year old aunt tha would come over and poor herself a cup of my coffee and pull from her purse a small jar of her Folgers Crystals Instant Coffee and poor a teaspoon into a cup of my brewed coffee...

Serious black coffee drinker she was...
Who needs fancy?

Nothing wrong with Cowboy Coffee I guess!

Not really. Coffee cups are different than Imperial cups. Coffee cups are traditionally about 5 ounces.

Neil Patrick Harris is hawking mushroom "coffee". Uh, no Doogie, that is NOT coffee. They must have snuck some "magic" mushroom in his.
Now yes, he is a card carrying member of the skinny jeans, tree hugging, ultra progressive, all natural everything, kind of folk, but c'mon.

I've been told I look like Doogie. You wouldn't believe how offended I was!!

Anyway, Ryze is one of those mushroom coffees I'm familiar with, a few family members drink it. It's not so bad.

@shortyb It's not a black tar drink, lighter and more nutty, but it is made out real coffee, with shrooms mixed in. Apparently about 25 - 50% caffeine compared to a regular brew.

"Yes, RYZE coffee contains 100% Arabica coffee beans. It is a blend of instant organic Arabica coffee powder, which is spray-dried from roasted beans, and six types of functional mushrooms."

Ehhh, but is it REALLY coffee? Spray-dried coffee powder? I think not. I feel the same about a chickory blend too unless I'm enjoying a cup at Cafe du Monde in NOLA.

Oh, and sorry to hear about your doppleganger appearance 😁.
