Do you add salt to your coffee

To each their own. I don’t understand how people can drink it black. Tastes like death to me 🤣
I don’t understand how people can drink coffee at all, it smells and tastes terrible 🤣
I have tried to force myself to like it a handful of times, and it’s just nasty. The first time was my senior year in high school, at about 2 AM at a Denny’s, for a girl of course, I had a cup full of creamer and sugar with an oh soooo tiny splash of coffee, and that was still way too much coffee flavor for me 🤣🤣🤣
Oh, the stupid thing we did for no other reason than a pretty girls asked us to when we were younger 🙄

I bought a Millstone grinder from a local mom and pop grocery that was going out of business. That big dial lets you choose any grind from little rocks to dust.

The interesting thing about me is that my entire life I have absolutely LOVED the smell of coffee. I can remember when I was a kid and grocery stores used to have an entire section dedicated to coffee beans and they would have a grinder right there too. I loved being in that section. But when I took a sip of coffee (even with cream and sugar) I just never liked it. To this day I don’t like hot coffee (except Tim Hortons French Vanilla) A few years ago I had an iced coffee at McDonald’s during their $1 summer drink days and that opened my eyes. Now I make hot coffee at home a lot and put it in the fridge to get cold. If I try that coffee hot I don’t like it but once it’s cold the taste is so different for me!

Have you ever tried an iced coffee? You might be just like me in my weirdness 🤓

You sound a lot like my wife. She loves the aroma of coffee but hates the way it tastes. She follows the way of Jimmy with her tea.

I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think I have ever tried iced coffee. My wife loves all forms of the nasty concoction, so perhaps some time I will have to take a sip. I’ll likely be be like Newman when he tries broccoli…. “Honey mustard!!!”

People thought my mom was weird for drinking iced coffee back in the 1960s. I'm pretty sure she drank iced coffee in the 1940s and 1950s before I was born. It wasn't a "thing" people did back then. Now, it's like oooooh iced coffee! My generation is so cool. :ROFLMAO: .

I often wonder if the first person to drink iced coffee was someone who left a hot coffee on the roof of their car in the winter and forgot about it for a while and then came out and found it and took a sip 🤪

Most people I suppose drink it black or with cream and sugar. Anyone using salt? I read the other day that just a tiny bit of salt can help reduce the bitter taste in some coffees. The salt interferes with the bitter taste bud.

I tried it and I must say that it really brightened up the flavor. My son has used salt in his coffee for quite some time.

So what do you all put in your coffee?
I use salt only on bad dementia days. Normally I use liquid "Sweet'NLow" and half & half.

Is this trending?

Wife was talking about salt in coffee a couple days ago.

No and doesn’t remove bitterness or acid or anything really

Espresso water cream cocoa allulose sometimes
Exactly. Kinda pointless heard of adding salt to beer but never coffee
