Favorite gun, owned or want to own

My go to will forever be a Glock 19. The smoothest trigger imho is a Sig P226/P229.

My current off duty/concealed carry gun is a Springfield Hellcat.

I’m also impressed with Walther at the moment. I picked up a PPQm2, man it’s a nail driver out of the box.

I'd like to have the gun presented to my grandfather for winning the All Navy championship. When he had his aneurysm, it was stolen and sold for drugs by one of my meth head relatives.

It was a custom Gold Cup 1911 with his name and accomplishments that year engraved on it. He then took it and had it tuned to the gills on top of it being a custom Gold Cup.

I want to get into long range shooting, but honestly, don't know enough about what to buy. Please, tell us about what you have here. Did you own other long range guns before this one? How did you end up with this one?
I started with a Savage 10FCP-K in .308 to get the feel for it, which I later put in a CADEX chassis, then bought a Savage 110BA in .338LM, which was my first real "long range" rifle, but it wasn't a great rifle for the price. Decided to get serious and purchased this CADEX CDX-33 in .338LM, which is the same rifle used by several Special Forces groups (like the McMillan TAC-50 is used by the Canadian SF). It has a custom built 700-based action, Bartlein stainless barrel, CADEX's own adjustable trigger and brake as well as their custom chassis. In my discussions with them, I asked for an optic recommendation, which is how it ended up with the Vortex Razor Gen II that's on it. I was originally going to buy an S•B PMII.

I sold the Savage 10 in .308 (and regret that decision, it was a tack driver and you can never have too many rifles! and later bought a Remington 700 5R Milspec which is topped with a basic Leupold VX3-HD, which is a good enough scope for .308. This is my "deer rifle", but it gets a fair amount of paper (and hard drive) time at 100 yards, as that's the length of my buddy's range where we do the majority of our shooting. Longer range requires taking a tour out to the tower lines or down toward Kingston if you want a "real" range. He has a Tikka .300WM, which is another excellent long-range cartridge.

I was very generously gifted a reloading press and some other reloading equipment by @CarbonSteel who is far more into this than I am, with several custom rifles. .338LM is not an inexpensive cartridge to shoot, so reloading not only gets you better quality rounds, but with this particular calibre, also saves you considerable money. It's a fantastic cartridge though, it shoots insanely flat, and in a heavy rifle like this one with a large brake, the recoil isn't bad at all.

CADEX:
Nice to see you Canucks making something cool for a change. Nice gun. Learned recently that 5R stands for Russian.....interesting ?

The 5R rifling was developed by a guy in Wisconsin that became very popular is my understanding. The Russian "4R" (not the real name) was a driver in terms of inspiration (interesting story as linked), but the 5R was his (Boots) contribution to the shooting scene:
