Does anyone in the US care about the coronation in the UK?

no thank you. at one time the military pageantry on display at royal events was certainly inspiring. about ten years i very briefly chatted with prince andrew in a small group at a british embassy function. he was a pleasant enough fellow. we shared a wee bit of navy talk, and i declared my undying appreciation of british ships’ utterly civilized “wet” wardrooms.

sadly, now the u.k. is a lost, woke, debased, shell of its former self, its armed forces dessicated, its core culture abused, all to a malevolent purpose. these wounds are mostly self-inflicted by its ruling class, yet the house of windsor plays parlour games.

I'm not surprised at the comments, why would anyone want to watch the coronation in another country any more than I would want to watch a presidential inauguration in another country. It's of fleeting interest in those circumstances.

It will be a big thing in England, for a start we get an additional bank holiday. We will be having a street party in front of our houses with flags and banners. It's a nice thing that brings all the neighbors together. The King will get the respect he earns and no more. He has an awful lot to live up to compared to his mother but I have to say he's started out better than I expected.
Foreigners watch the inauguration of US presidents all the time.

This, I guess. But I still wouldn't spend the time to go watch it.

I think the English Royalty is still at lot more admirable than the constant train-wreck of American's own royalty, i.e. the Hollywood bimbos and sports celebrities.
I wouldn't call them admirable , but they are more interesting .

My sister loaned me " Spare " . The book written by Harry . You know , that guy everybody loves to hate . Interesting insight into how that family dynamic really operates .

Remember, the average American is very, very clueless when it comes to anything outside of the US. Guarantee you, there are plenty who think the Queen or King "rule" the UK.
I've found some Americans to not know a lot about their own country either.

I was trying to explain to some Californians where we were from, and said roughly 450 miles NW of Minneapolis and St Paul. That meant nothing to them.

But then again, I suspect a lot of Canadians are the same.

I haven't read it (and likely won't), but the book is said to be riddled with factual errors.

I think the big thing that people resent about Harry and Meghan is that they want it both ways; to avoid the responsibilities of royal life while enjoying all the wealth and publicity.

I feel a little coronated today. Too much cheese!
Maybe you need some brake cleaner.

Enlighten me .
I read an online article at the time the book was released, which pointed out a lot of contradictions. I can't vouch for the veracity, but think it was the NY Post one.

I just searched for "errors in Harry's book Spare" and got lots of hits, all acknowledging errors but not agreeing on the significance of the errors.

Nice jet you ‘ave there William. I’d ‘ate for something to ‘appen to it.

You realize if something happened to William and his family, Harry could still become King. That’s why the evil uncle in Lion King wanted to bump off Simba.

I don't have one care of any of the other nations. Keep our money where it belongs, here in the USA.

The entire group of Royals would have been different if Edward VIII haven’t stepped down to marry American divorcee, Wallis Simpson. I imagine those folks are “Royally” cheesed off.

I remember being in Jemptland (northern Sweden) at the time of Charles and Diana's wedding.
The entire province was deserted. I walked to an amusement park and one car passed by. The park was open; nobody was there but employees watching the wedding.
It was quite extreme.
