Wife will most likely watch it. Was there for the Queen's funeral and the wife wanted to see the coronation but could not get the Hotel we usually stay at when we visit London, hence watch it from home.
X2A bunch of well dressed do nothings parading around soaking in the adoration of the ill informed masses. I’ll respectfully take a pass.
I think this is just celebrity. Tabloid type stuff…I thought we werent supposed to discuss politics![]()

Long live the King!England ceased being vitally important to the US in 1781 when Cornwallis surrendered to Washington at Yorktown. They remain an important fascinoma since.

Root canal for me.I have no interest in watching the coronation. If I was a UK citizen I might say what a waste of tax payer money. But I am a US citizen and feel there are many important things going on in the US and the world and the coronation is not one of them.
However if given the choice between being forced to watch the coronation and getting a root canal I would watch the coronation.
You have so much little interest you started a thread on it. Thanks, I didn't even realize it was happening and now I know to watch!I have no interest in watching the coronation. Personally, I find the whole idea of "nobility" distasteful. I am not a subject, I am a citizen on equal standing under the law with everyone else.
The US Constitution specifically prohibits Congress from granting titles of nobility to anyone and also prohibits any official from accepting a title from any foreign country. It's lumped right next to the prohibition on taking foreign bribes.
Much like our own political process, the illusion we still actually have a say is hysterical.Preservation of centuries of tradition seems to still be important over there. Frankly I'd hope they'd have bigger fish to fry, but the pomp & circumstance show must go on.
