Longshoreman Strike - East and Gulf Coast - now features TP shortages

This is like Walmart installing self checkouts thinking they'll save on labor
It feels creepy now - but I did not like that change at first. Now our Walmart was just renovated - brought back checkout people. They are standing there trying to be noticed as we walk to self checkout …
I was reprogrammed by them - like to sort and bag my own stuff a certain way - Sorry …

Yeah, idk I walk around Walmart and they have tons of employees walking around that never used to be the case a few years back. I think they restock the shelves during business hours now and actually close the store at 11 where everyone goes home. I always thought it was dumb they got rid of the 24hr thing because inthought they had people inside after hours restocking anyways.

I bet most of these new Walmart employees you're seeing are order pickers who assemble online orders for people who don't want to walk around the isles.

YES. Walmart has turned this into a huge business. Home delivery. Heck, they will deliver a box of crackers at no cost the same day if you are a Walmart + customer
