Do I really need three different oils for my Ford transit, Toyota 4Runner and Prius?

What does “an endurance race proven oil” mean?
Is that an API, ACEA or manufacturers’ approval?
I thought that we weren’t supposed to use race oils in street driven vehicles.
It is the official oil of NASCAR there is no other needed approval.💪

It's marketing bovine excrement. Nothing more....
That’s what I thought. M1 Euro 0W40 is the low hanging fruit of the one size fits all, but where 0W cold performance is not required, is it still the best option?
In Florida would 5W40 be more appropriate?
Stay in grade, shear stability and Noack is all the rage, and it seems to me that the bigger the viscosity spread the worse it gets.
BMW, MB, VW and others specify 0Wxx because for one, they don’t know where the vehicle is going to end up…. Fairbanks, Alaska or Sydney, Australia.
Without jumping all over the map with different brands, Mobil Delvac 10W30 and 15W40 both meet API CK-4/SP, plus most of the Diesel manufacturers’ certifications.
That’s where I end up.

0W in Florida? I was thinking of a drum of 15w40.

Bottles are easier to pour.

They'll be fine with a non euro 5w-30's sp but none of those engines are lspi prone. He could run high saps diesel or euro oils and be fine unless one of them burns a lot and he needs it to pass inspection.
lspi never entered my mind when I suggested 5w30 non-euro.
